Welcome to the Telluride Film Festival. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Telluride Film Festival mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The Telluride Film Festival is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
Telluride Film Festival Held annually over the American Labor Day weekend in the remote Colorado town of Telluride, this small festival is nevertheless one of the most prestigious events in the US film calendar. The festival has no market and no competition - just a long weekend screening the very best movies from serious filmmakers all over the world.
Founded in 1974 when the town of Telluride was beginning to rebuild itself as a ski resort, the festival is now attended by more than 5000 people every year, drawn by the strength of the programming. Over the years, Telluride has seen the world or US premieres of such films as Blue Velvet, Secrets and Lies, Cinema Paradiso, Au revoir les enfants, Sling Blade and The Crying Game.
